The impact of Covid19 at home, in Catalunya, in Spain, and across the world has been immeasurable. We have lost friends, families, and millions of people in a terrifying tragedy never seen by this generation.
And yet, we have persevered. My local community has come together in support of not only each other, but the small businesses impacted by decisions made in the good of public health.
Those who are promoted and shared here on this website still need your support, and my hope is that you have and will continue to do so. We’ve lost many wine-related businesses permanently, and the restaurant sector in Barcelona has had more permanent closures than ever seen before. This has been due to the reduced hours and inability to have seating service here in Catalunya which has been in effect in varying levels of “opening hours” for almost one year. Almost one year.
Many wineries have resorted to selling their products online more and more.
Most importantly many of us have looked for ways to innovate, adapt, and change with how the food and beverage business has impacted. Growth, wisdom, and reflection can lead to innovation, change, and an improved paradigm.
We look forward to sharing more journeys and more experiences when we have arrived at a return to the “new normal.”
We send wishes of health, happiness, and peace to all of you who have enjoyed our content over the past 5 years.
