This is as Catalan as you can get. Garsa is located on one of the side streets near Carrer Princessa, and its history started as a barn for Hosta de la Bona Sort built in the 17th century.  In 1927 is opened up as a tavern, before become what it is today back in the 1970s. Now it’s under the guidance of Pol Torras with the culinary assistance Fernando Medina. Meats, cheeses, fish and tapas style lunch/dinner offering will leave you satisfied and satiated. 

Wine 

The wine selection features top choices of Catalan, Catalan and Catalan. The price range focuses on more affordable fair, with a favourite from DO Catalunya, Ca N’Estruc to offerings from Priorat, Montsant and Penedes. 

Cuisine

The cheese selection is absolutely brilliant. Top quality offering from local artisan producers means you will have a cheesegasm with one of their plates, which you can select your choices depending on your faves. Croquettes of meat or fish, burrata, escalivada, divine pan con tomaquet, desserts, tartar, and more will make choices difficult, or you’ll just stuff yourself silly.

Atmosphere

What a charming place. They have kept the history, the details, and the interior design to feel homey, historical, and trendy all at the same time. You can have an intimate lunch or dinner for two, or even bring a large group to enjoy a tasting menu. With a second floor up a circular staircase, you’ll love your experience.
